Super easy, good bang for buck and amazing looking. These are a member of the Bomeliad family (same as the pineapple). They can take full sun. Keep the top soil moist and water its well (the hole around the base of the flower) about once a month or when it empties, whatever is sooner. The flowers will die off after up to 6 months, they can be pulled out eventually and look quite nice on the mantlepiece. The plant itself with eventually die off and with any luck a new pup (new shoot) will emerge by its side. Once the pup has reached maturity, about a third to two thirds of its sibling, you can pot on and with any luck enjoy a new bloom.
Pot diameter: 15cm
