Common Name:
 Green Pearl Aloe

Scientific Name: Aloe aristata 'Cosmo'

Family: Asphodelaceae

Origin: Northern Africa

Toxicity: Toxic to humans and animals.

Soil: A cacti or succulent potting mix.

Repotting: It's best to repot at the beginning of Spring when the plant has become rootbound - once every two years or so.

Propagation: These succulents can produce 'pups' that grow at the base of the plant - you can separate these out when repotting the mother plant.

Common problems: The foliage can become mushy if over watered and be sure to keep an eye out for mealy bugs and scale.

Care Tips: It's best to bottom water these plants - fill a tray with an inch or so of water, place the nursery pot in the tray and leave to soak until the soil on top feels damp.

Fun Fact: When they're happy these plants can produce beautiful orange-red flowers!

Please note these are general guidelines based on our experience with these plants - care should be altered based on individual home environments.
