 Fishbone, Ric Rac, Zig Zag

Scientific Name: Epiphyllum Anguiliger

Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Mexico

Toxic: Non-toxic to humans and animals.

Soil: Any cacti and succulent potting mix, or you can mix extra drainage materials into regular soil.

Repotting: It's best to repot at the beginning of Spring when the plant has outgrown it's pot.

Propagation: These can be propagated from stem cuttings.

Common problems: Overwatering can cause the foliage to become mushy and drop off - on the other hand, underwatering results in wrinkled and droopy stems.

Care Tips: These can handle a few hours of morning or afternoon sun, which is essential if you want them to flower!

Fun Fact: These tend to flower later in the year, after which they produce little oval fruits that taste like gooseberries!

Please note these are general guidelines based on our experience with these plants - care should be altered based on individual home environments.
