Ficus are a stunning and easy going houseplant to have, once you nail their care! These will need bright indirect light and should be allowed to mostly dry out between waterings.

Scientific Name: Ficus altissima
Family: Moraceae
Origin: Africa
Toxicity: Toxic to humans and animals.
Soil: Standard potting soil mixed with perlite, or equivalent, for good drainage.
Repotting: It's best to repot at the beginning of Spring when the plant has become rootbound - once every two years or so.
Propagation: These aren't really suitable for propagation.
Common problems: Leaf drop can occur when the plant is inconsistently watered or doesn't receive enough light.
Care Tips: Wipe the leaves off every now and then - this will help your plant breathe and keep pests at bay!
Fun Fact: If properly cared for, these plants can live for up to 50 years!
