Cut back on watering in the winter months.

Feed once a month or so in the growing season Do not feed in autumn or winter unless the plant is still actively growing.

Common Name:
 Wax Vine, Wax Plant

Scientific Name: Hoya linearis

Family: Apocynaceae

Origin: Asia

Toxic: Toxic to humans and animals.

Soil: Standard potting soil mixed with perlite, or equivalent, for good drainage.

Repotting: Hoyas prefer to be a little rootbound, so only repot when there are a lot more roots than soil.

Propagation: These can be propagated from stem cuttings.

Common problems: Overwatering can cause the foliage to become mushy and drop off - on the other hand, underwatering results in wrinkled and droopy stems.

Care Tips: These can handle a few hours of morning or afternoon sun, which is essential if you want them to flower!

Fun Fact: Hoyas get their common name from their incredible blooms that have a somewhat waxy appearance.

Other varieties: Hoya Bella, Hoya Compacta, Hoya Pubicalyx, Hoya Krinkle 8

Please note these are general guidelines based on our experience with these plants - care should be altered based on individual home environments.
