Spring/Summer Autumn/Winter
Bright indirect light, although a few hours of morning or afternoon sun will be fine.
As much light as possible - winter sun is not as strong.
Water when the foliage starts to wrinkle and lose it's plump appearance.
Cut back on watering in the winter months.
Can tolerate average household temperatures but prefers slightly higher humidity. Try to keep away from draughts and central heating.
Feed once a month or so in the growing season Do not feed in autumn or winter unless the plant is still actively growing.

Scientific Name: Monadenium guentheri

Family: Euphorbiaceae

Origin: Kenya

Toxic: Toxic to humans and animals.

Soil: Any cacti and succulent potting mix, or you can mix extra drainage materials into regular soil.

Repotting: It's best to repot at the beginning of Spring about once every two years.

Propagation: These can be propagated from stem and leaf cuttings.

Common problems: Overwatering can cause the foliage to become mushy and drop off.

Care Tips: These can handle a few hours of morning or afternoon sun, which is essential if you want them to produce their tiny white flowers.

Fun Fact: When these plants mature they start to look like a tangle of sausages, hence the strange name!
