Origin: South America & Asia
Toxicity: Toxic to humans and animals.
Soil: Standard potting soil mixed with perlite, or equivalent, for good drainage.
Repotting: It's best to repot at the beginning of Spring when the plant has become rootbound - once every two years or so.
Propagation: These plants can be propagated by root division when repotting the mother plant.
Common problems: Inconsistent watering can cause leaves to wilt and turn yellow.
Care Tips: Place your plant on a tray of pebbles and water to increase humidity.
Fun Fact: These get the common name of 'Peace Lily' from the delicate white blooms that grow above the leaves and are reminiscent of a white flag being raised.
